He may not be able to help himself. I remember Jo just standing there or walking across the room and peeing like he didn't even realize it. There must be added pressure or the area is super sensitive until they're totally healed. Please try to have a little more patience and give him a chance...honestly...he probably can't help it right now.

Do you have a playpen you can put him in instead of a crate? We used the plastic puppy pen for a while with Jo. I really don't think you're dealing with a training issue right now. Did you call your vet and ask their advice? I know your patience is low but please don't give up on him yet.
