I'd definitely take him to an orthopedic surgeon for a second opinion since at 2-3, he is borderline.
If a second vet recommends the surgery, please get it done before his knees get any worse. That will only make his surgery more complicated and more expensive and even impossible in some cases. Arthritis sets in after awhile and that isn't reversible. |
