Well, the English (England) accent makes thing sound differently, just like it is with other those who have Chinese, East Indian, Russian, Italian, Spanish, French, etc. accents. A Chinese person would probably put emphasis on a different vowel/syllable than an Italian.

England accents sounds differently, but they don't spell it differently. It's not actually "Yorkshure," it's still 'YorkSHIRE.' They just don't say it the same way as us, but it's still spelled "YORKSHIRE" all over the world, regardless of where you're from.

When you hear people from England say "knickers,"
(underwear) it sounds like they are saying "knickas." But it's not spelled "knickas," it's 'Knickers.'

Hope that helps!!!
