I used to get migraines about once a month but lately I've been getting several a month. I think it is related to an undiagnosed condition I am still dealing with. (Some of you may remember how scared I was when I had to have tests.) anyway I am curious about the botox. Just exactly where are you injected? Does insurance pay for it? I have noticed lately that my blood pressure is high when I have a migraine but I don't know if it is because of the pain or if the pain is because of the blood pressure. (Think chicken and egg.) I used to take Midrin but it made me sleep way too much and I usually had to repeat doses. I use Relpax now and it usually starts working within an hour. For those of you who have never had a migraine - count yourselves very lucky. The pain is so severe that you go beyond wanting to die. The worst ones come with nausea and extreme light sensitivity. Noises usually bother me too so I can't read, listen to the radio or anything except lay still and feel the pain. The last one I had made me dizzy along with everything else! Sigh.
Jenn, please express my sympathy to your dh. It is a horrible situation to be in.
