Peanut will be 11 this year and yes they can start using them when they get older, he was trained to go outside for years, but as they get older its harder for them to hold it to go outside, so he has been using them for 2 years, it help with the others using them.

I would get the washable pee pads and lay it on the rug at night where he usally goes
