Wow...I sure can relate to most of your most hated things.
I also hate mosquitos...those little suckers are driving me crazy this summer. The city sprayed on Thursday and we had a couple of nice days...now they're back in full force!
I hate it when I go to great pains to keep my yard nice and the neighbors let the weeds grow and go to seed...then the stinking wind blows and they end up in my yard! I have never seen so many weeds here and all I have to do is look at the neighbors to figure where they're coming from!
I hate it when parents let their kids scream that high pitched scream in a public place. My kids tried that once and never did it again because I taught them not to. So many parents just let them scream and scream and they must be so used to it that it doesn't bother them anymore. One day in Walmart a kid was screaming...next thing his dad is asking him if he wanted a certain toy. I said, "That's nice...reward him for his bad behavior!" I've also told people they need to learn to control their child...they look at me as if I'm nutz. I'm just speaking for the rest of the people in the place that are getting a headache from that constant screeching! Ugggggh. Seems everywhere I go there's a screeching kid nearby!
I hate it when I'm somewhere giving them my business and treated rudely or like they are doing me a favor by waiting on me. Some don't even greet me or say thank you. I have gotten so I say things such as, "Your friendliness overwhelms me," or if they don't say Thank You I will say, "Well THANK YOU??!! I have also started calling managers and reporting these people that act that way. Good grief...they are getting paid for doing that...the least they can do is smile and say hello. I would think they would be drilled on treating the customers with respect, but as long as they get away with it, there's nothing to stop them. A few months back I got a speeding ticket and took Maddie with me to the PD to pay it. I walked up to one of the windows and asked if this is where I pay my speeding ticket. The lady grabbed my ticket out of my hand, wrote me up a receipt...threw the receipt down in front of me and started to walk away. I was ticked so I said, "I bet it wasn't your personality that got you this job!" Then I said to Maddie, "Maybe I'm being punished for breaking the law." I was SOOO ticked!
I love my vet, but hate one of their policies. If your dog gets sick, you can bet there will not be an opening for them to get in that day, but they will give you a work in appointment which costs $20 more than the regular appointment. It probably doesn't sound like much to some of you, but I pay all of Maddie's bills with no help from my husband and $39 a crack just to walk in the place can add up fast...especially when one has a sickly puppy like Maddie. I think they should leave some open times for sick dogs....no way can we say, "I need an appointment for 2 weeks from today because my dog will be sick!" I'm tempted to call there and say I'd like an appointment for Maddie for every day at 1:00 and I will call them each morning if she is not sick and I need to cancel it. Bet that would go over like a lead balloon!
Well, as I said...I relate to most all of the other posts. Villette giving the one finger salute...I thought in bigger places you don't dare do that anymore for fear of being shot. You be careful!!! |
