Welcome to YT, we are ALL crazy about yorkies, your not alone!!! As for your lil girl I would say put her in a room that she can play in or wait till momma is done doing her thing. Too, about the iron, I say just to be safe if at all possible put them away that way you don't have to worry about her hurting herself.
Parker is still a puppy but I have up two baby gates, he isn't allowed to roam free right now. He pretty much goes where I go but if I am not in the same room as him he has limits!
