We currently have one 2 year old yorkie male sweetie who is the center of our household. Lately, I have been thinking about adding another yorkie -- probably a female to our home. I'd like Cody to have a sister and a playmate. (Cody is already "fixed" and the new puppy would also at a later date.)

This may sound silly, but I'm just not sure how Cody would react to this. He is very attached to the family (of course!) and particularly to me. Would this hurt his feelings adding another dog to the family or would he enjoy it?

We would NEVER ignore him after the new puppy arrives and I know that I would introduce the new puppy properly. (I am a MOM afterall and I've been through this!!)

Can those of you that have added a 2nd yorkie to your homes after a couple years help with some advice -- good or bad. I'll take any and all feedback, please. What problems did you experience?
