I've flown once in my life (and I was 8) so I have no idea how to go about getting the cheapest flight.

Say I'm going to Idaho in March for spring break. Is it better to wait til a couple wks before or buy early? About how much should i be looking to spend for a round trip (would it be cheaper to rent a car and drive?). Any other suggestions on getting it the cheapest possible?

I'm pretty flexible on what days I fly, so is it cheaper to fly wknds or weekdays?
