 Unhappy ending for me!
My Yorkie had 4 babies on Nov. 6th. 7 days later, the littlest one weighed only 3 ounces. The vet saw all of them on day 3, and said to just keep her warm and fed. I did, and also supplemented her with Esbilac q.2 hours with a syringe. She just kept not responding. She died on day 8. It nearly killed me. Looking back, I realized that mom was not as attentive to her as she was the other 3. Her failure to thrive was due to her size and the fact that I think she must have been premature. I was trying everything to save her, and she just didn't respond. I think mom knew from the beginning that she was too weak. I hope your baby is still alive now and doing better. Let me know. SallyG |
