I would recommend going to epets.com and checking out the breeders listed there. I spoke to both Lyonsden and Joarcam kennels before I got my little girl and they were both very informative and helpful. I received my pup from a friend who only bred once because of behavior issues with her little girl.
Another local Kennel is Fergys Yorkshire Terriers here in calgary.
I hope this helps, and try to talk to as many breeders and visit as many kennels as possible. You can go to the akc and ckc websites for details on how to tell a good breeder from a bad one. But please make sure to get your dog from a reputable breeder because I purchased my first dog from petland and that was a HUGE mistake. I was very stupid when it came to dog education at the time and I paid the ultimate price. Within 6 months I had to watch my beloved little boy suffer for a week with seizures, go in and out of the vets office only to die of a heart attack. Please learn from my mistake and do your research as I have done this time.
