Let's file this away.... ....under the "this could only happen to me" section of my life.
Take note - it's 1 am.
Story time.
Megan is awake while the rest of her family slumbers. She decides that she's in the mood for a hot chocolate. Megan quietly goes out into the kitchen, and in the dark manages to gather all needed materials to make said hot chocolate. Megan walks over to the water thing to get the water. She pushes down on the hot one, cup in hand. Not only is there no hot water coming out, the cold water doesn't want to stop coming out. Megan panicks and puts the cup aside. She frantically uses her hands to transport water from the water thing to the sink.
Megan realizes she needs light. She pushes the button to turn on the fan's light. Then she realizes that the switch on the other side of the room needs to be turned on so that the light will work. Megan dashes to the other side of the room (slipping on a nice puddle of water all the way) and flips the switch. She then rushes back over to the water thing (which is now making gurgling sounds) and pushes the button. Let there be light!
Megan continues running back and forth to and from the sink to transport the water, oblivious to the fact that there is a nice pool forming beneath her. She decides that she needs to gather more water at one time. SO she leaves the flowing water and heads for the cabinet, she grabs several cups and bowls. She runs back over and fills them up. Then she realizes that she has no more storage space to keep the water.
By this time, Megan's parents have awoken. She assures them that all is well, when in fact she may be submerged in water if this does not get under control. She looks down at the hot water thing, and realizes that it needs to be pushed UP to turn off the water, rather than pushing it down. She then throws some of the water into the tea pot on the stove (Because she WILL get her hot chocolate, darnit) and starts cleaning up the water.
Eventually, Megan sits down at the computer, and begins writing a rather long passage to her internet friends about her event. |
