I am so sorry to hear that Alfie passed today. His condition is similar to Sophie 13 yo. (PTS January 23, 2007). Her little chest was filled with fluid and could hardly stand. I believe she had a tumor, but was too fragile to have surgery. May you find comfort in the link I am sending you. There will be many days ahead that you will question your decision, but we must be the voice of our beloved pets. Sophie is the pup with full coat and short, silver hair taken just before she went to the bridge. Thank you for your pictures of Alfie and he is a beautiful pup.

Thank you Deborah for your thoughts and for the rainbow bridge link. Watching it, as well as reading all of the kind thoughts posted here, is both difficult (as the pain is still new) and comforting in helping to bring closure. I am so thankful that I found this wonderful site to have so many yorkie/dog lovers to share my joys...and who understand the pain that I am feeling today.
