My opinion is this...I have one Biewer female from Germany. If I breed her to a Biewer I will only get Biewers.
I don't want anything that carries and is not 100% guaranteed to produce the actual color they are...I do not want to overload myself with dogs. I have limited my self to a certain bnumber of dogs and it is very hard to stick to it..LOL Plus, I cannot have a houseful of males.
My friend just had a litter of pups...she bred her standard color female to a full Biewer and got all standard colors..of course they all carry the piebald gene.
I always say...if you have the time and room, what can it hurt to keep another one, of course that thinking got me up to 27 Yorkies in my previous life. lol |
