I know this is an old thread...however why would you bring home a 6 week old puppy? Way, way, way too young!! It should still be with it's mother and litter. I once *had* to adopt a 6 week old purebred golden retreiver (Breeder's husband had a fatal car accident) and let me tell you although he generally had a good temperment, he definitely wasn't taught bite inhibition. Just my two cents...
