It's my understanding that many small breed dogs are prone to periodontal disease, that it's genetic. Eating kibble to prevent it is a myth. Regular cleanings to remove the plaque below the gum line is important. Brushing with Petzlife really helps, too. I also give Lady a CET chew twice a week per my vet. |
