My little Murphy did that one time. He had sniffed up a blade of grass. He gagged, coughed and sneezed. Even the Vet didn't see it. He finally sneezed one time and I saw it come half way out and go back. I was ready on the next sneeze to grab it.
Also I don't know where you live, but mine have had grass burrs get stuck.
