he shouldn't be gaining so much weight. Most of our dogs here get lazy in the winter and they don't gain that much weight. Yes he's young and you shouldn't cut back food, but maybe your just feeding too much overall. how much food does he get in a day total (in cups)?
when you got him he only weighed 2lbs? and now he's 5lbs at 13 weeks? how old was he when you got him?
