 Suggestions needed badly
It seems like Sassafras has been sick so much since I got her.
She seems like she is so sensitive to everything.
She is once again having mucus and blood in her stool and vomiting every other day
She has been a "booty scooter" off and on since I got her. They have done every stool test they could think of and sent them to an outside lab and have found no worms or parasites.
She was eating Science Diet puppy kibble food, but since she is having tummy issues they changes it last Thursday to Prescription Diet i/d because it is so easy to digest.
She is still vomiting after a week on it and still has blood/mucus in her stool.
She was having bowel movements 5-6 times a day and it is now down to 2 times a day.
The vet prescribed a cream to rub on her booty 3 times a day, an antibiotic and something to help her tummy and thinks she has colitis and irritation/inflammation in her tummy.
Is this something she will just outgrow? She is 19 weeks 4 days and weighs 3 pounds.
Has anyone else gone through anything like this? How worried should I be? What should I be asking my vet to check? |
