I'm very allergic and lately my allergies/asthma have been worse. I take advair 250/50, singular, claritin and will be starting allergy shots soon.

Most people are allergic to the dander/saliva/ect as opposed to the fur and while small low shed dogs are the least likely to trigger responses in some very sensitive and allergic people they are unable to tolerate anything.

My medications work pretty well most days and if they start not to, I change it up. If you don't mind being medicated long term, I believe it can work. I do get sick easily because of the allergies and it's a lifestyle change for sure and an added expense w/all the medical stuff I have to have done for myself. I probably pay $80/month just in medications and that doesn't include dr visits.

I wish you the best of luck!! Here are some tips you can use that are not medication.

Vaccum daily, keep the puppy out of your bedroom at all times, get a humidifier for your bedroom, get hepa air filters for all of your rooms, don't hang curtains, rip up carpet if you can, use ALLERPET daily on your puppy to eliminate dander and condition skin.
