thanks again everyone.

I had a pretty good night. my husband likes to stay up late and play his video games so i left her down here in the kitchen crate to sleep until he was done playing his games. I told him to nudge her up to pee and poop and maybe eat, and then bring her to the upstairs crate with one of her blankets and toys. We blocked the back of the crate off with a towel and that worked great!

She woke up around 2:30 so i brought her down to pee and see if she wanted more to eat or drink. She did not. She did have a bit of a runny poop, but i think it is cause i switched her from wet puppy food to moistened dry puppy food last night.

we came back up to bed and she whined for about 10 minutes, but she was right next to me. So i tried to pet her a bit through the cage. She went to sleep and we woke up with my daughter at 6 this morning. No messie crate! I know it was just the first night but we are off to a good start.
