Cry Freak accident

My son (14 yo) was vacuuming, using the hose-type hand held tool to get the baseboards and Pippa was "interested" and she had her little face sucked into the vacuum for a few seconds...

We had her to the vet withing 45 minutes and she is there now overnight...She has got some neurologic symptoms that may or may not be permanent. I was convinced she couldn't see at first, but her sight seemed okay right before we left the ER. She isn't walking straight, she is holding her mouth funny, and was circling the perimeter of her playpen with her head rubbing the sides, over and over. She was doing the same thing in the oxygen chamber at the vet. And her breathing was kind of noisy. At first I thought she was just traumatized and scared, but it's more than that.

Anyway, my son feels horrible, he just cried when he realized how it had affected her. She is just an angel of a puppy, and this stinks.
