Default Sad, sad condition

I believe my 4 year-old yorkie may have collapsed trachea. She has had counghing/hacking bouts lately which occur mostly after physical exertion. I took her to the vet and he treated her for kennel cough with an antibiotic injection and a take-home round of clavimox. He then hinted that the problem could indeed be collapsed trachea but stressed that x-rays were needed for a proper diagnosis of this sad condition. Does anyone have any advice or knowledge of this condition? I have never had any major health problems with her for 4 years. I hate for my baby to be sick.
