I left Elphaba downstairs in the crate the first 2 months, its only been the past week and half she's been in bed with me. The first night she cried ALL night. I put a hot water bottle in the bed (wrapped in a towel) and left her. I did go down a couple of times to check on her...but waited til she quieted down because I didn't want her to think that crying meant she got out. By the second night she cried a little when I first put her in...but then not another peep all night. She slept quietly through the night the first month after that. The second month she was home she started screaming around 2-3am. By the time I'd go downstairs she's already peed her crate. Now that she's upstairs in bed with me she sleeps through the night with no accidents or middle of the night trips out.
