I have been a vegeterian for almost 8 years now, but i eat seafood like its going out of style! I believe what most people call me is a pescaterian (sp?).

My reason is a very long story, needless to say I dont wan't to gross anyone out but for me its because the smell of meat is consistant from death, to processing, to cooking and eating. I just cant take it. So there is the reason part.
Yeah, there's just something about meat that grosses me out. I really don't like chicken esp. or steaks (VOMIT!)...chicken because I'm afraid of the icky parts and it's always dry and steaks because they're just NASTY! lol
I love my diet beacuse it is very healthy. I do take supplements and have regular check ups with my dr for routine labwork. It is important to have your dr involved if you are thinking of changing your diet drasticly.
If I do decided to do this, I'll def contact my doctor and get advice because it is a MAJOR
change!
I eat a lot of beans and nuts for protien and yogourt and dairy for calcium. I get alot of great heart healthy omega 3 from fish, just be careful with fish as some has a very high mercury content. Veggies and fruit are my best friends! I have to be careful not to eat too many carbs, it's easy to get carried away with pasta and grains, believe me!
Yes, my four favorite thing are pasta, dairy (MILK, CHEESE, YOGURT, SOUR CREAM...I LOVE IT ALL! lol), fruits, and veggies. There are very few fruits and veggies I don't like, and I could eat them all day...
I have had a few bites of red meat in the past few years, if someone does not remember that I don't eat meat and they go through the trouble of fixing something nice I will be polite and have a bite or two (smothered in some kind of sauce!) but I will absolutley not touch chicken!
I see what you mean about trying to not be rude...makes sense...
I hope I have answered some of your questions, I am a health nut but I wont sacrifice flavor, I still eat real mayo and sour cream, no fat free! But I have come up with a lot of ways to cut fat and calories. If you have any questions just let me know, I will do my best to answer!
