Well, if her blood sugar is high - amylase would naturally be higher too bc amylase is the enzyme that uptakes sugar. Her labs could be off simply from having such a bad episode of nauseousness - that can throw electrolytes off.
I wonder if she got into something outside - my guys have before and it's SO scary not knowing what's going on. I always try to feed extra water, get some rice or potato in them asap, give nutrical, check gums - you could even give a bit of pepto if she is still nauseous.
I'm not too surprised by the shaking - vomiting can pretty violent and scary for these little babies. I DO hope she is feeling better! |
Oh I am so pleased to see you here!! I always tell others to look for your posts when their babies are ill with diet/tummy issues.
Are you saying the the high blood sugar would cause the AMY levels to test higher?? I know so little about these conditions, it's so frustrating. I just spoke to Hubby Jack. He gave her about 8 Honey Nut Cheerios this morning (argh!), whereas I would normally only give her 1 or 2 as a treat. Could this have elevated the glucose so much?? Could the vomiting, as you say, have caused both the bad test results? I am just worried sick now about something genetic.
