I was going to fix a whole chicken on the grill and I got to thinking....hhhmmmm, I wonder if they'll eat this wing, so I cut them off and offered it to one of them , he grabbed it and took off with it as if it was gold, the other one wanted nothing to do with it.....I was watching the one eating the wing and he was acting as if he was gagging but I could clearly see the wing , I went to take it away to see what was wrong and a long piece of skin came out, it was gong down his throat.....I wondered if this was something that is a concern when eating chicken ....I was waiting for him to poo and he did and NO runs, yay.... |
I leave the skin on, because they do need some skin and fat as part of their balanced raw diet.
Next time- hold it. With very enthusiastic eaters holding it at first means you can teach them to have to crunch it all properly and prevent them from pulling off bits that are too big or doing silly things like wanting to swallow all the skin at once
Thats great that one of your boys loved it and had no runny poo as a result, fantastic!
