I got my pup at 8 weeks and was so glad I did. I didn't miss the baby stuff. But she was really healthy, but tiny. I can see where breeders would let them go early to experienced/mature owners, and heaven knows they need a break sometime. Even if you only have 2 litters a year that's about what, 6 mos of intensive care for mom and babies? Has to be hard. One reason I haven't ever considered breeding as much as I love them - takes real organization as well as time.

Pups a darling and parents/grownups are nice looking - that's what I'd think matters.
