my son was 1 before he had tubes in his ears he for the most part couldnt ever hear anything. he woke up in recovery cried and as soon as he seen me it was all better on the way home he freaked out on everynoise he heard. when he was 6 he had adnoides and tinsiles removed that was hard on him but it only took a few days and he was ok, then he over did it and was right bk to square one again for a few days.
