this is how i got my puppy to walk on a leash cause she was really resistant at the beginning. I had to let her feel like she was in control if that makes sense (like she was not on a leash). but to make her walk forward i had a treat in front of her!
Then she would move forward and I would praise her and give her the treat. Soon she would be walking anywhere and every where. She got used to the leash. It's almost like a person with a fishing pole and at one end of it there was a treat. She would be going anywhere I wanted as long as the treat was infront of her. As she got used to the treat no more treat!
