I'd give anything to go back to the 8 week biting!! This is the perfect time to teach your baby not bite because they are the most impressionable at this stage. My trainer told me to start with yelping loudly and walking away when my dog started to bite me. This also means stop playing with her when she bites on purpose.
If this doesn't work you start doing time outs. The trick to time out is that you have to do it quick like within seconds. So you can purposely train her to bite you in your time out area and then leave immediately. She won't like being left alone. You can leave her in there for about 1 minute once the barking or crying has stopped. After a while she won't want to do it anymore. Good Luck! |
