What a mess! That happened to us before but we weren't home to catch it right away. Our water heater was in the garage and a neighbor saw water coming out from under our closed garage door! It did get into the house from under the walls connected to the garage and we got enough from the insurance company to recarpet and retile AND ended up with enough to repaint the entire inside of the house! It was actually a blessing in disguise.
