I have two boys, when I got one he was already started on piddle pad from day one at the breeders, and I have one that was not trained at all...The one that was started on the pad has been no problem, he knew how to use it as soon as I brought him home, he will go outside if I take him out, but when the weather is bad he just uses the pad...the one not trained, he is still going in the house and it has been months....I would absolutely get a piddle pad trained one if that's your preference in the future....

As for the marking, it was a problem til they where fixed at about 6 months, then it stopped....
