It is hard to say because you should be able to feel her ribs. You shouldn't be able to see them. What did the vet say? They can tell you if she is too skinny. It is probably all of her energy. Anyway, my Yorkie used to eat Science Diet and it made the fur by her butt/lower back very rough. It also made her throw up for no reason. I would suggest that the food is switched just because SD is not really good.
