I like to see them closed by 8 weeks to 12 weeks. Some, as posted will always have them. I have been told by vets and breeders, if the spot is not larger then the diameter of a pencil it rarely is a problem..a nickle is serious and a quarter is not good news at all.
It is good to wear a top knot and prevent konks.
