A lot of times, the smaller dogs don't come in to heat as early as the big dogs...I had my shepherd spayed at 8 mos. which is always later than I do them, but, she hadn't come in to heat yet..sometimes, like humans, they can come in earlier, but from what I've seen on the smaller, ones, it's usually always later...I've known some not to come in to heat until well after 1 year |
