I used a customs broker to have the dogs cleared for me, so I would not have to travel back and forth without having a vehicle. The cargo office was so nice. They locked their automatic doors so the dogs could walk around before going back into a carrier. they helped me break down the crate they came in and tape it together. I checked it as my luggage and carried the dogs onto the flight home with me.
To LA, scrapindee and her husband helped me out. The picked me up from the airport, took me to cargo, then customs and back to cargo. This was on a Thursday. We stayed with them over the weekend and then on Tuesday Murphy and I flew home.
To Dallas, we had another friend pick the dog up at cargo. She kept her for us for a couple of days and then sent her on to KC.
If the dog came with the right health papers (we did get another dog's papers in Dallas) then I was able to use those papers to fly home with my dogs even though they were in German. There was enough English on them that they could see they had been vaccinated and had rabies shots.
can you tell me about the broker (and possible how much you had to pay)?
