Check his gums and if they are not that healthy pink color, it could be a case of hypoglycemia. Go ahead and stir some kayro syrup or granulated sugar in with his water and make him drink it. It won't hurt him, unless he drinks a ton -- which he probably won't though.
He may just be a shyer yorkie who only gets rambunctious around his owner. My baby is kind of like that.
If he seems ill, make sure he's eating too. If you can't force or handfeed him, take him to the vet. Look for signs that he's eaten and peed/pooped. If he hasn't done either, he could be nervous/seperation anxious and may need to be hand fed. |
