Rose Skinny Yorkie

My granddaughter's Yorkie, Sammy, is 10 months old now. She is finally calming down some and not biting much. She is much nicer to be around! She is very sweet and loves attention and affection. She weighs about 5.5 or 6 pounds. I think she is too thin. You can feel her ribs and backbone and hip bones. Her coat is thin and very short near her rear end. She has been to the vet and had all of her shots, etc., and is active and eats very well. Is it natural for a puppy to be thin at 10 months? I think she should have more "puppy fat" at that age. She eats Science Diet food and always has access to her bowl of food. She loves the Wysong food my dogs eat and doesn't get an upset tummy when she's here and eats it. I have never had a puppy that was "skinny" at 10 months. I wondered if she's just going through a tall and skinny period that's natural for growing Yorkies or if she needs to be checked for some problem.
