Hey all! Long post--- BUT I NEED HELP, please stay with me.

Well, my situation is I have a dog, who's kind of mean, mostly non chalant about people she doesn't know. Like, if she hears people outside the door, she'll start to bark, if she doesn't know them. And I'm convinced that it's only people she doesn't know,b ecause she's completely sweet to people she's known since she's a puppy.

For example, if my brother comes into the room. and there is bad lighting and his face is outcast or there is only a silhouette of him, she'll start barking like crazy, or someone comes in the house without her seeing or hearing who, just the sound of the door opening, she'll start barking and howling and being mean.

But the second she realizes, ``Oh! I love this person.`` Her tail starts to wag and she rolls over on her back. And that's not all the time, it's honestly not a greeting, it's only when she doesn't know who it is.

Not only that but if we are taking a walk, and I have an amazingly cute teddy-bear faced baby, if I do say so, and a million people wanna stop and pet or, I don't want her to growl at them, or bite at them, like she does. It's BAD. Babies, little kids, I have to shoo them, because I don't want her biting them, and then I get sued and she gets put to sleep. I would just die. so I run away from people who wanna pet her, and I can't risk that someone won't ask someday and she bites them.

She's 7 months old, how do I make her better with people, not even friendly, if she's indifferent, even that's alright.

And my NEXT problem. She's so scared of other dogs. Not frightened, run away bark scared, but tail between legs, back up slowly, run away if they approach too fast scared. I want her to be better, and recently a friend of a friend has to get rid of chihuahua that is about 6 months, and she offered her to me. I want to, I want another baby so bad. Will betty come around? She isn't aggressive towards dogs like she si to humans, just the opposite, timid. Wills eh come around eventually or would I be wasting my money? I want her to have a friend, a sister and I DEARLY, DEARLY want her to get along with humans.

Woo.
