Owwee, I want to try that Apple Bread - that looks great!

If you didn't catch this thread there are a bunch of good recipes here - okay, I posted several of them and I just found 2 more favorite appetizer recipes, easy ones, but don't want to bore everyone.

This is a great green bean casserole recipe - it's a take off of the original, but very good. I think I submitted for the cookbook

Creamy-and-Crunchy Green Bean Casserole

serves 8; Prep time 10 min; Cook & bake time: 45 min

1/4 cup butter
1 large onion, chopped
2 (10 3/4-oz) cans cream of mushroom soup
2 (16-oz) pkgs frozen French-cut green beans, thawed
1 (14-oz) can bean sprouts, rinsed & drained
2 (8-oz) cans diced water chestnuts, drained
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup (4 oz) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
2 (2.8 oz) cans French fried onions

Melt butter in Dutch oven over medium-high heat; add onion and saute 8 minutes or until tender. Stir in soup, and bring to a boil. Stir in beans and then bean sprouts, water chestnuts and salt. Spoon into a lightly greased 13-x9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with shredded Cheddar cheese. Bake, covered, at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle evenly with French fried onions, and bake 10 more minutes or until bubbly.

Happy Thanksgiving!!
