Start doing crate training.
Our Cozmo will be 2 and that is what we had to do to him when we got him about 1 month ago. He only got to come out and play when he would potty, But I also took him outside ever hour and still do. When he goes potty and you see him tell bad potty and then put him on the wee wee pad and say good potty. I don't know if that help but this worked for me. Good luck
