The Lord works in mysterious ways! The same thing happened a few years ago to a friend of ours. The wedding was scheduled for June but because of the bride's father's cancer, it was scheduled for the week after Christmas. The bride's family was Jewish and our friend who is the step-father of the groom and a Rabbi did such a beautiful ceremony. The father died shrtly after the wedding. So, I guess it would be more appropriate to say "God works in mysterious ways!"
