Lacy stayed really dark. When I got her at 10 weeks she had some silver coming through on the top of her head and gold coming through under the black on her face. By about 6 months, that silver on top of her head started to become gold. Her topknot was funny at first..the tip was black, middle was silver, and the roots were gold. Now she doesn't have any silver on her. Her back is still pretty much black, although when the light shines on it then it looks like a dark blue (but I don't really know if she's blue or black). Her face and legs are a deep tan - almost a reddish color.
