Dogs are carnivores and wouldnt eat grains in their natural environment. Dogs and wolves are genetically the same - in fact, they have been recently changed to one species instead of two. Wolves catch prey animals in the wild and eat the muscle meat, bones, and organs. They can also be scavengers and will eat food that humans may have left lying around. With dogs, humans would feed them leftover meat - sometimes cooked, sometimes uncooked. Kibble wasn't invented until around the 1940s because of World War 2. It was a cheap way to feed the dogs and a way to put all the products not fit for humans to use. Over the years pet food has become a major industry and better kibbles have been developed. But a raw diet has been around forever as it was what dogs originally were meant to eat. Kibble was a human invention. Dogs are much healthier on raw
