My neighbors lab killed her Yorkie puppy. He was not being mean or agressive but just playing ball. They both went after the ball at the same time and when the lab bit into the ball he bit the puppy's neck and severed her jugular. She bled to death in minutes. It's good to be overprotective in my opinion.
