I think you will have to call AKC about the limited thing . you can get the Rabies shot at anytime but if you are shipping him, you could also wait until you get the health certificate. the health certificate has to be within ten days of shipping. When I ship mine that about this age, I always wait and let the vet give the shot when he does the health certificate. no use paying two office visits.
