Have you checked each claw and pad on the injured leg? He may have separated a claw from the pad, or he could have something in the pad (like a sliver, small piece of glass). Check each toe for swelling too and check btwn toes.

Feel the opposing leg the same time you feel the hurt one too - so you can compare and see if there is swelling on the hurt leg. Sounds like he may need to go in though, poor baby.
