We went to the vet today for Conner's kennel cough shot, and he had blood taken to test for lyme. I told the vet how he hops like a bunny sometimes when we go for our walks. He checked Conner's legs and said they were very strong, then he checked his knees. One knee goes in and out of the socket. He recommended surgery.
He said the grooves where the knee socket is located are not deep enough. He will make them deeper. He said the surgery will be about 1 1/2 hours. I drop him off in the morning, and can pick him up between 3 and 3:30 p.m. They will send him home with pain meds. He has his surgery on January 8th. I will take the rest of the week off to be home with him.
