If you have a litter that the ears are needing help standing, the easiest thing to do is shave the inside of the ear and then put a few dots of surgical glue on the ear, keeping your thumb or finger to keep anything from going down the ear canal. Fold the ear together. The ear may flop to the side some but unless the pups have really large ears this has always worked when I had a pup that needed help with the ears.
I learnt this trick from a Chihuahua breeder. Since there is no foreign material they don't notice it and don't try to chew of tape etc.
